Photography Workshop "UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL"
Photographer Pierre Crom, in collaboration with educator Manuela Hernández, invites you to join a 4-session photography workshop in The Hague. The sessions will be held on a weekly basis from 19:00 to 22:00 on Tuesdays or Thursdays, starting from September 11, 2018.
In a world overloaded with images and fast information, it becomes increasingly challenging for photographers to develop a visual identity and find a distinctive signature. Therefore, exploring our personal approach to photography requires self-awareness and a refreshed perspective: Why do we photograph? What makes our work meaningful and engaging?
With the guidance of Manuela and Pierre, you will be able to increase your self-confidence, which is key to reaching your goals and to finding your visual identity. But most importantly, you will become more self-aware of your work in a personalized learning environment.
"UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL" offers a dynamic space to discuss and reflect on the process of defining your own photographic project. In small groups, there will be time to offer expert feedback and find inspiration for emerging ideas.
The workshop is open to photography enthusiasts, emerging photographers and to anyone with an interest in gaining depth and focus in their photographic practice.
After each session, you will be given practical homework & references to study material. The sessions will combine interactive lectures, group discussion, and presentations. You will keep a personal account of your learning process with reflective exercises such as journaling and visual diary.
By joining "UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL" you will be able to explore new ways to develop an engaging body of work.
